Bruce Sutherland has owned a home in Parkville for 20 years and lived in it permanently for the last 8 years. It’s on The Avenue directly opposite the Royal Park Golf Course where he plays golf a couple of times a week. He has recently stood down after three years of being President of the Royal Park Golf Club.
After growing up in South Africa he spent 10 years at IBM in its “early days”. Then completed an MBA and became an entrepreneur in the manufacturing sector, producing natural fibre products and exporting them worldwide.

Bruce and his wife Margie emigrated here 8 years ago to join their daughters. They are all now Australian citizens active in community development.

Bruce is a keen bird watcher and volunteers at Melbourne Uni cricket club practices two evenings a week.

He is passionate about retaining the character of Parkville and especially Royal Park.
